E-bike tour to discover the old village of Frattura
Route mainly on asphalted roads and cart tracks with homogeneous ground.
Departure from the Millepini hotel (via Pescara, 2), where you can use the services and the bar during preparation. After having traveled the panoramic road that offers a splendid view of the village of Scanno we will begin the climb towards the hamlet of Frattura, along the road that climbs up the slopes of Mount Genzana and offers a suggestive view of the lake and the upper Sagittario Valley.
Finally, we will arrive in the ghost town of Frattura vecchia, razed to the ground by the Marsica earthquake of 1915, known for the cultivation of the characteristic white bean and the scene of some scenes from the film Men and wolves (1956). From here you can closely observe the landslide of Mount Genzana which blocked the river Tasso, from which the lake of Scanno originated.
Return on the same path.
Path suitable for everyone. The route may undergo variations based on the evaluations of the guides.
The excursion will be supervised by cycle tour guides recognized by the SieB (Italian e-Bike School, ACSI) and / or by the Italian Cycling Federation.
